Before joining Republic Services, Terry Cushing served as a law clerk to Federal Judge Earl H. Carroll of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona—an experience that sharpened his litigation and writing skills. He went on to work at several top law firms, including Bowman and Brooke LLP and Jennings Strouss, where he became a Partner in 2011, handling high-stakes product liability, commercial litigation, and personal injury cases. Later, as a Partner at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, he spent over a decade leading teams and developing a robust client portfolio across multiple industries. Today, at Republic Services, he leverages that broad experience to support corporate operations, mitigate risk, and advance sustainable business practices. Outside of work, Terry is a volunteer attorney and two-time Super Lawyers Rising Star (2012–2013). He enjoys traveling, languages, sports, politics, and weightlifting, embodying the same discipline and curiosity that have defined his professional path.
